About the destination
Explore the royal town
Biograd na Moru occupies a small peninsula between two marinas. The old centre, harbour and nearby beaches are easy to combine on foot. Once a seat of Croatian kings and bishops, the town retains church sites and a historic street pattern. Begin around St Anastasia’s Church, then walk to the waterfront for views over the Pašman Channel.
Understand the museum’s status
The Heritage Museum preserves local archaeological, historical and ethnographic material in a waterfront building raised over medieval walls. Its best-known collection comes from a merchant ship that sank near Gnalić in 1583. As checked on 16 October 2026, the official museum website lists it as temporarily closed. Plan your heritage walk outdoors until the museum confirms reopening.
Choose your beach walk
Follow the coast south from the town’s hotel waterfront towards pebbly Dražica and sandy Soline. The official beach guide helps you choose a stop; pine-backed sections make this a pleasant walking route as well as a bathing outing. Bošana lies on the northern side of town, so choose your direction before setting off. Lake Vrana and the islands are separate excursions, with their own travel arrangements.
Eat locally and stay for the evening
For dinner, the Gastro Biograd guide highlights kunjke shellfish and restaurants taking part in the local food project. Ask what is available when reserving. Match a waterfront stroll with a dated event from the tourist board calendar. The official apartment directory provides a starting point for an overnight stay; compare the property’s location with the old centre, your preferred beach and any marina or excursion departure.
