About the destination
Pause in the stone village
Dragozetići lies in northern Cres, amid Tramuntana’s woodland, grazing land and dry-stone boundaries. Its appeal is the village itself: stone houses and the rural landscape around them. The municipality’s settlement guide highlights its distinctive architecture. Take time for a short walk through the village before choosing a longer route.
Walk towards Porozina
The official route 307 links Porozina and Dragozetići. This gives you a specific trail to plan around, whether arriving through the northern ferry port or exploring from a local base. Allow for the return journey when deciding how far to walk. Carry drinking water and use suitable footwear for the rocky island paths; close livestock gates behind you.
Understand Tramuntana in Beli
A separate trip to Beli Visitor Centre adds the story of griffon vultures and the people of northern Cres. The exhibition helps explain the landscape you have been walking through. Beli is another settlement, so plan it as an additional journey and consult the centre for visiting arrangements.
Plan food and an overnight base
Use the island-wide food guide for Cres lamb, sheep cheese, fish and olive oil, and the accommodation directory to compare places to stay. Locate your meal and bed by their actual settlement. An evening in Dragozetići centres on the village and its surroundings; a restaurant visit elsewhere needs its own return plan.
