About the destination
Walk through Kopačevo
Kopačevo, known in Hungarian as Kopács, lies beside Kopački rit in Bilje municipality. Fishing once supported local households; vegetable and flower growing are also part of village life. Take a walk through the streets before the park visit and look at the older house fronts.
Look for the fishing details
Fish motifs on some facades recall the village’s fishing tradition. Flat-bottomed boats called čikl belonged to that work on the water. The Ribarski dani celebration brings the heritage together through food and village festivities. Time your visit to its programme if you want to experience the celebration.
Continue into the wetland
The Kopački rit reception centre is at Mali Sakadaš 1 in Kopačevo. A boat trip takes the day from village streets into the protected wetland. Reserve the park programme ahead of time and use its departure time to plan your walk through the village.

Restaurant · Kopačevo
Didin konak
Didin konak follows Kopačevo’s fishing tradition through paprika-rich fish stew and fork-roasted carp. It connects a Baranja village visit with the region’s distinctive river-based cooking.
