About the destination
Choose a land route
Lastovo is the largest inhabited island in a nature park of 46 islands, islets, rocks and reefs. Ferries and catamarans arrive at Ubli; the park has no single entrance gate, so plan your island transport separately from your park visits. More than 200 kilometres of marked walking trails give you options from short walks to longer outings. The route from Skrivena Luka to St Cyprian’s church is about 1.2 kilometres, while the educational trail “Via the Present to the Past” is 6.4 kilometres and passes the town of Lastovo. Hum, at 417 metres, is the island’s highest viewpoint. Use the park’s walking route descriptions and stay on marked trails.
See the coves from the sea
A separate guided boat tour leaves from Pasadur and lasts about four hours. Its route follows northern coves toward the Lastovnjaci islands, plans a swimming and snorkelling stop at Mladina in Saplun Bay, then returns along the south coast past Skrivena Luka and the Struga lighthouse. Places are limited and advance reservation is required, so check the park’s boat-tour details. For a stay, compare the inland historic town of Lastovo with Zaklopatica’s northern bay and restaurants or Pasadur’s harbour setting; the park lists hotels, campsites, private rentals and lighthouses.
