About the destination
Start in the village
Pomer lies on the sheltered western side of Medulin Bay in southern Istria. Its fishing and shellfish-growing past helps explain the village’s connection to the water. Begin among the houses before heading to the shore. The official Pomer guide introduces the settlement, its food traditions and options for staying with local hosts.
Find your bathing spot
The Pomer beach guide describes pebbled and rocky shore with pine shade. Choose a spot according to the entry into the water and the shade you want. A village visit, a beach afternoon and a stay at the nearby campsite are different ways to enjoy the same bay; locate the particular beach or accommodation before setting out.
Visit the marina waterfront
ACI marina Pomer occupies the innermost part of the bay and has a landscaped waterside promenade. It adds a nautical setting to a shore walk, while boat owners can use the operator’s own information for arrival and berth enquiries. The marina is a separate facility beside the village, with its own services and restaurant.
Food, evenings and staying
Choose between village accommodation and a camping stay near the water. At Arena One 99 Glamping, the operator lists The One restaurant and its bars; ask the property about dining arrangements if visiting from elsewhere. For a village evening, look for the dated programme of local summer festivities or church concerts through the tourist board. A meal and a walk by the bay also suit a quiet overnight stop.
