Walk the old core and harbour

Punat sits deep inside Puntarska draga on the island of Krk. Begin in its compact old core, among narrow stone lanes, passages and small terraces, then continue along the waterfront. Small boats, the shipbuilding tradition and the marina give the bay its maritime character. Dry-stone walls and olive groves surround the settlement, with walking paths leading above the town.

Arrange a Košljun visit

The wooded islet of Košljun holds a Franciscan monastery, churches and museum collections, including religious art and objects used by Krk’s fishermen and farmers. Reach it by boat from Punat. Local operators arrange crossings as needed, so agree your outward and return trip directly; boat transport and museum admission are separate. There are no catering facilities on the islet, so plan your meal in Punat.

Add a swim or a walk

For swimming, explore the beaches and coves towards the open coast south of the centre. Choose the beach access that suits your group and allow time to return for the boat trip or dinner.
