About the destination
Get to know the bay
Rabac is the seaside settlement below hilltop Labin on Istria’s eastern coast. Begin around the harbour, where the waterfront gives you a sense of the bay before you choose a beach. The fishing settlement grew into a holiday destination, but its shore and Labin’s old town remain separate places with very different terrain.
Choose your stretch of coast
Pebble beaches are Rabac’s main draw. Use the tourist board’s beach guide to explore the coast, then decide whether you want to stay near the harbour or walk further along the promenade towards the resort beaches. A coastal stroll is an easy way to combine swimming stops with views across Kvarner.
Walk inland to Labin
The official walking map shows routes connecting the coast with the hills and Labin. A visit uphill adds old streets and cultural sights to a beach stay, but it involves a substantial change in elevation. Choose your route and return transport before leaving the shore; a walk along the promenade and a climb to Labin require different plans.
Eat and stay by area
The restaurant directory separates Rabac from Labin and helps you locate a meal around the harbour, Maslinica or Girandella. Compare the hotel listings by location as well: a resort beach, the central waterfront and a hillside address give you different daily walks. For evenings, a harbour meal and the return stroll along the water are simple choices.
