Seget Donji

Seget Donji combines a compact fortified centre with a coastal walk towards Medena and an old road leading into the hinterland.

About the destination

Inside the old fortified village

The historic centre of Seget Donji grew around Jakov Rotondo’s fortified complex in the sixteenth century. Stone-paved lanes and closely packed houses lead past the later church of Our Lady of the Rosary, preserving the shape of the old settlement west of Trogir.

Along the shore towards Medena

The coastal walk continues towards the beaches around Medena. It brings you out of the narrow old lanes and onto the wider Seget Riviera, with places to pause beside the sea.

The road to the hinterland

The Napoleon Road, dating from 1807, recalls the connection between the coast and inland settlements. From the waterfront, the old route leads your attention towards the hills.
