About the destination
Walk beside Solišćica
Soline sits on a deep bay in northwestern Dugi otok. Its name recalls former salt pans, while its early village school is another detail in the tourist board’s local history. Begin with a waterfront stroll and the view across Solišćica. The sheltered bay and residential village have a different feel from the island’s open-sea beaches.
Spend time at Sakarun
Nearby Sakarun is a separate destination on the northwestern coast, with sand and pine woodland around the bay. Combine a village morning with a beach afternoon, allowing for the journey between them. Staying in Soline means staying by Solišćica; choose an address according to whether the village waterfront or the route to Sakarun matters more to you.
Arrive through the right port
For a vehicle crossing, Jadrolinija’s ferry arrives at Brbinj from Zadar’s Gaženica port. Continue by road to Soline. If travelling as a foot passenger on another service, match its arrival port with your onward transport before booking: the island landing and the village are separate stages of the journey.
Find a bed and a table
The official accommodation directory lets you select Soline and compare apartments around the island. For a regional restaurant outing, Gorgonia in Verunić is a listed option with Mediterranean cooking and fish dishes. Verunić is another village, so include the return journey in your evening plans. Back in Soline, the bayfront suits a quiet walk.
