Around the bay
Vinišće grew at the head of a deep bay in the municipality of Marina. Houses and local streets follow the shore, making the water a natural starting point for exploring the village. Its name recalls the vineyards that once shaped the surrounding land; a written record mentions the place in 1272.
A landscape worked in stone
Wine was only part of the local working life. The old quarries at Jamurine and in Voluja bay recall the extraction of stone along this coast.
