Zavalatica
Zavalatica is a small south-coast harbour below Čara’s wine country. Stay by the bay, visit nearby Žitna or Čavića Luka and make a separate trip inland for Pošip.

About the destination
Enjoy the harbour setting
Begin along Zavalatica’s bay, with stone houses, waterfront lanes and views towards the open Adriatic. The settlement developed as a port for wine from nearby Čara, so its harbour connects the coast with the vineyards inland. A waterfront walk is a good first visit, leaving time to sit beside the water and see where your accommodation lies around the bay.
Choose a nearby cove
Žitna and Čavića Luka are neighbouring beach coves, separate from the village centre. Choose one for a swimming outing and plan the journey from your actual base. Take water and suitable footwear for the shore; decide on swimming according to the conditions you find.
Follow the wine story inland
The road towards Čara passes vineyards and olive groves in Čara Field, with the sanctuary of Our Lady of Čara Field outside the village. Čara is a separate inland settlement, and PZ Pošip is one producer listed there. Arrange a tasting directly if wine interests you, with transport organised before drinking. The field and church setting also make an inland outing without a tasting.
Choose a base and a meal
The tourist board describes apartments and houses by the sea in Zavalatica. Compare the exact location with the harbour walk and the cove you want to visit. Ask your host about nearby meals during your stay and arrange your arrival from the island port. An overnight visit leaves time for a relaxed waterfront evening after a beach or inland excursion.
