Šibenik around lunch: a walk and a proper marenda
Let the meal lead the outing, with enough old-town exploring to work up an appetite.

Make lunch the main event
Start at Poljana and agree your budget before choosing a table. Look for marenda, the daytime meal with a place in Šibenik's food culture. Ask what is cooking today and check the price. The word itself does not promise a particular dish or a particular bill, so make the choice from the menu in front of you.
A little city before eating
Walk towards Trg Republike Hrvatske and choose one side street rather than every staircase you pass. If someone wants to avoid steps, agree on a waterfront alternative. Aim to arrive hungry, not exhausted or irritated because another climb has been added to a supposedly easy lunch outing.
Leave the afternoon light
After eating, choose coffee, another stretch of waterfront or the journey back. Base any recommendation on what you actually ate and paid for. If you liked the place, save its name and your dish: that small note will be more useful on a return visit than another collection of untested restaurant screenshots.
