Destination
Crikvenica
Crikvenica combines a seaside town break with inland walking and a food tradition rooted in fishing. Leave room for the Love Path as a separate outing.

About the destination
Begin beside the sea
Start with an unhurried walk around the town waterfront, then choose one cultural stop rather than filling the day with beach time alone. The tourist board’s things-to-see guide lists the Crikvenica Town Museum, the town gallery and the historic settlement of Kotor. Check arrangements directly before making a museum or gallery the centrepiece of your visit. A short town walk works well on an arrival day, with a longer outing saved for the following morning.
Walk the Love Path
The Love Path is an eight-kilometre route combining woodland and local heritage. Badanj fort and viewpoints towards Tribalj are among its landmarks. Treat this as an inland walking excursion: choose the distance to suit your group, take water and wear shoes with grip. It deserves its own part of the day rather than being squeezed between a swim and dinner.
Taste the fishing tradition
Use the Oily Fish Route to choose a meal connected to the area’s fishing past. Look for Crkveniške rupice, a local fish speciality, and ask the restaurant what is available that day. For a short stay, alternate a town-and-sea day with the inland walk; keep dinner plans flexible enough to enjoy a slower evening after the trail.
