About the destination
Old town and sea
Begin in Lovran’s historic centre, then walk down to Mandrać harbour. The contrast between the old streets and the villas along the coast gives the visit its shape. Continue onto a section of the Lungomare promenade rather than committing to the entire Riviera walk. Choose a turnaround point before setting out, especially if you need to return to the same accommodation or parked car.
A taste of Lovran
The town’s chestnut and cherry traditions offer a useful way to choose a dessert or plan a seasonal visit. Ask which dishes use local marun chestnuts or Lovran cherries and what is actually available during your stay. Marunada celebrates the chestnut harvest, but check the current programme before arranging a trip around it. Leave room for a meal after the waterfront walk.
Make the mountain a separate outing
For a longer stay, add Učka Nature Park. Educational walks and hiking routes offer a different landscape from the seafront; the summit of Vojak is a more ambitious option. Select a route according to fitness, weather and daylight, arrange transport to its starting point, and carry water and suitable footwear. When choosing accommodation, compare the actual walk to the waterfront with access for your planned mountain excursion.

Villa Erzzi
Erzzi preserves the character of an early twentieth-century villa beside Lovran’s shore. A garden, pool and sauna connect the historic house with time spent outdoors.
