About the destination
Follow the wine road
Plešivica is a wine-growing and hill region in Zagreb County, not just one village. Its wine road runs among vineyards on rolling slopes and is especially associated with sparkling wines; local producers also make amphora wines. Several wineries offer tastings by appointment, and some combine them with local food or overnight accommodation. Plan visits directly with the winery rather than relying on walk-in service. The Zagreb County wine-road guide lists producers and regional highlights. For another local flavour, look for Plešivica copanjak, a savoury cake made with cottage cheese and greens, and the area’s Cheese Road.
Add a walk or ride in the hills
The same landscape offers cycling paths and hiking routes, with views from the summit of Plešivica. Choose a shorter wine-country outing or build in time for a hill walk; check trail conditions and route details before you leave. The county’s Jastrebarsko and surroundings guide describes the region’s walks, cycling and vineyard experiences. If you plan tastings, arrange a designated driver or overnight stay in advance. The Jastrebarsko Tourist Board also publishes local wine-road information on cellar visits, food and accommodation; confirm each provider’s current availability directly.

Korak
Korak turns a Plešivica family winery into a tasting destination. Small seasonal changes, wild herbs, mushrooms and dairy shape the cooking alongside wines grown on the estate.
