About the destination
Walk the peninsula and waterfront
Rogoznica sits in a sheltered bay between Šibenik and Split. Begin among the stone houses and narrow lanes of the old peninsula, then follow the waterfront for changing views across the harbour. Small squares, churches, fishing boats and pine-covered edges make the walk worthwhile without a long sightseeing list. Allow half a day for the centre and lake, with more time for a swim or meal.
See the Dragon’s Eye
On the Gradina peninsula near the marina, Zmajevo oko, the Dragon’s Eye, is a saltwater lake enclosed by steep rocks. Its water exchanges with the sea through fissures in the limestone. Enjoy it from the paths and follow posted access instructions; treat the cliff edges with care. The lake and the old peninsula are separate stops around the bay.
Choose dinner and an evening
Marina Frapa is the modern nautical centre, while the older waterfront retains its fishing-village scale. Compare the tourist board’s restaurant listings for a town or marina meal. For a concert or local celebration, use the dated events programme to choose an evening around your visit.
Stay in town or explore the coast
The official accommodation directory includes addresses in Rogoznica and neighbouring coastal settlements. Choose the centre for walks to the waterfront; compare the exact location if a beach-side apartment is your priority. Ražanj, Cape Planka and the scattered coves beyond town need their own outing and transport plan. A Rogoznica address can describe a wider coastal area, so locate the property before booking.
