Use the Šibenik area as a regional choice, with the city, coastal towns, islands and inland landscapes offering different days out. In Šibenik itself, focus first on the Cathedral of St James and a walk through the historic centre. Keep an inland alternative

For a different day, explore the Drniš area’s Meštrović connections, heritage and local cheese or prosciutto, or choose Knin and its fortress. Confirm opening arrangements for the specific site before travelling. These inland choices deserve their own time rather than being squeezed between a park visit and a boat departure.
