Supetar
Supetar rewards a pause beyond the harbour: follow Ivan Rendić’s cultural trail, see sculpture at the cemetery and choose a town beach for a slower afternoon.

About the destination
Follow Rendić through town
Use the Rendić cultural walk to give a Supetar stroll a clear thread. It begins at the sculptor’s monument and links places associated with his life before ending at the cemetery. Pick up route information before setting out, and allow time to notice the streets between the marked stops. You can make this the main activity of a town visit rather than squeezing it into a hurried arrival or departure.
Sculpture and remembrance
The town cemetery includes works by Ivan Rendić and the Petrinović family mausoleum by Tomo Rosandić. Look carefully at the different approaches to stone and memorial sculpture, while remembering that this is an active place of remembrance. Keep voices low and give other visitors space. A quiet, attentive visit is more rewarding than treating the cemetery as a quick photographic stop between other attractions.
Gallery, beach and a base
The official Supetar guide places the Ivan Rendić Gallery above the National Library near the waterfront and lists beaches including Banj, Tri mosta and Vela luka. Confirm gallery access, then choose a beach according to its actual entry into the sea and your walking route. Leave room for a meal back in town. When booking accommodation, check the precise distance from your arrival point and chosen beach; luggage and swimming equipment can change how convenient a location feels.
