About the destination
Between the beach and Biokovo
The main pebble beach runs for almost four kilometres beneath Biokovo. Pines, the waterfront promenade and small harbour areas line the coast, while former noble summer residences recall an earlier chapter of life beside the sea.
St George by the shore
Near Hotel Neptun, the medieval chapel of St George and its archaeological surroundings take you further back into the town’s past. This small church is a worthwhile stop on a walk along the western part of the waterfront.
Stone hamlets above the sea
In Gornji Tučepi, stone houses, olive-growing land and St Anthony’s church preserve the older hillside settlement. The Škrinjica collection holds household furniture and folk costumes; arrange an interior visit beforehand. Higher still, Biokovo rises into mountain habitats. A mountain outing calls for suitable equipment and a check of the weather and park guidance.

Heritage Hotel Kaštelet
A Baroque summer residence from 1766 stands beside Tučepi’s promenade and beach. A smaller collection of rooms keeps a domestic scale, with the sea as the simplest daily plan.
