Return to Primošten for Babić, Bucavac and the Gaj viewpoint
Already explored the old town? Connect Primošten’s stone vineyards with local wine, a confirmed producer visit and a different view from Gaj hill.

Begin with the landscape behind the wine
In Primošten, Babić becomes more interesting when you connect it with the wine-growing landscape. Bucavac lies south of town, with small plots enclosed by dry-stone walls. Looking at that pattern helps you form questions for a producer: how is a plot worked, what changes between harvests, and how do different sites compare? You do not need specialist wine knowledge. Curiosity about the work behind a label is enough to make a visit more rewarding than simply following a sequence of glasses.
Choose one producer and confirm the visit
The tourist board’s list includes Vinas Mora, Prgin and Brne. Choose one and ask directly whether visitors are received on your date, at which address and in what format. A cellar, tasting room and vineyard need not share an address. Ask how long the proposed visit lasts and whether it includes a tour or tasting only. Build the rest of the day around that answer instead of turning three producers into a chain of unconfirmed arrivals.
Use Gaj for a different view of town
The lookout on Gaj hill, with its statue of Our Lady of Loreto, provides a second clear stop. Here you look at Primošten and the surrounding sea from outside the old centre. Place it before or after the confirmed visit according to your route and available time. Do not assume the lookout, vineyard plots and every cellar are in one location. Compare the actual addresses on a map and arrange transport before setting off, keeping even a short outing unhurried.
Take home a story you understand
If you buy wine, record the producer, name and the detail that will help you remember it. Ask what the host would serve with it instead of automatically choosing the most expensive bottle. If somebody in your group does not want to taste, check beforehand what the visit offers them. Finish with an ordinary lunch or return to the coast. The reward is recognising the work of the people behind the landscape the next time you see Primošten.
