A closer look
Stiniva is a pebble cove on Vis enclosed by high limestone cliffs. Part of the island’s protected landscape, it makes the geology of the coast especially visible: rock walls frame the beach and its opening to the sea. Reaching it requires planning for either a steep land approach or arrival by water. The land approach uses steep paths; choose your approach according to your ability and current conditions. Check local guidance for boat access and beach rules before visiting, and leave rocks and other natural material in place.
