About the destination
The route to Saint George climbs uphill; choose shoes for stone and steps. Keep a separate, gentler stretch for walking beside the sea.
Before you set out
Plan your visit
Choose the pace, check the journey and keep a second option for the day.
Time to allow
Allow half a day for the old peninsula and waterfront, or a full day with Raduča and a meal. This is an editorial estimate. Keep the climb to St George separate from the gentler seaside section; a visit to a winery or the Gaj viewpoint needs another transport plan.
Without a car
Confirm your bus stop and return before arriving, then explore the old town on foot. Ask the tourist board about current local connections if staying outside the centre. Do not assume a coastal intercity bus serves the door of a resort or viewpoint.
Arriving by car
Use signed parking outside the old streets and check its payment and access conditions. Ask your host where to leave luggage if staying on the peninsula. The church approach is a walking route, not an invitation to drive through the historic core.
Rain, heat and a change of plan
In heat, climb towards St George early or later and take a break by the sea. In rain, plan a meal or a confirmed indoor visit and shorten the stone-lane walk. A wine tasting requires availability and a return driver or transfer agreed in advance.
